1. WHOOPS! (Email Mistake)
If you got an email from me earlier today with
the subject "newsletter test 2" and the body said
"blah blah", please disregard it...
I made a mistake earlier today when I was doing a
practice run of our email newsletter software, and
I accidentally sent my "test" email to everyone!
I apologize for the mix-up and any confusion it
may have caused!

2. MARCH TRIMMING WORKSHOP:
When: Sunday, March 18th
Time: 9am to sundown
Where: Frankfort, IL
Participants will receive hands-on instruction
working on cadaver hooves throughout the day.
Emphasis will be on basic and specific trimming
techniques for functional trimming, restoring and
maintaining balance and soundness, and on using
trimming tools properly and efficiently.
Prerequisites: some exposure to natural hoofcare
and understanding of anatomy/terminology, some
experience handling trimming tools is helpful.
Fee: $135 for the day, includes 2 cadaver hooves
per participant. If you'd like for us to reserve
additional hooves for you to take home for practice,
additional hooves will be $15 each to cover pick-up
and preparation.
Please bring: a lunch and your own trimming tools
(apron, rasp, hoof knife and gloves). If you are
requesting additional cadaver hooves to take home,
bring a suitable container for them.
The workshop will be taught by Wholistic Bare Hoof
Specialist, Cheryl Sutor, MHG and Hoofcare
Practitioner, Timothy Huey.
We have 6 openings available for this workshop.
Please call to register: Cheryl (630) 267-0357.

3. UPDATES/NEWS:
- I am now taking new clients within 20 miles of
Frankfort, IL. If you are in this area and would
like to schedule a consultation and/or trim,
please contact me at: Cheryl Sutor (630) 267-0357.
- If you are located near Marengo/Woodstock and
are looking for a natural hoofcare practitioner,
I highly recommend Yvonne Moorehouse. She can be
reached at: (815) 923-6950.
- I'm in the process of re-designing our website.
I'm adding many, many new features and articles,
including: photo critique (you send photos of your
horse's hooves for critique), photo archives of
healthy and pathological hooves, international
natural trimmers database, essential oils,
wholistic horse training, and more! I'm hoping
the new site will be functional within the coming
months, and I'll notify you when it's ready to go
live.
- I've been working on a book and workbook to
complement the information and techniques that
are taught at our workshops. We're hoping these
materials will become available this summer.

4. HOOF INFECTIONS:
Some hoof infections, particularly yeast and fungus,
can be very difficult to get rid of. We've seen
clients trying everything from Thrush Buster to
CleanTrax to Borax without any consistent results.
If you're one of those people who've tried
"everything", here's a link to an additional type of
treatment that we recently came across. If anyone
tries the treatment, please email me to let me know
how it worked out for your horse. If you happen to
take before/after pictures, we'd love to see them.

Not Horse Related:
I recently came across some information about how
the credit card industry is organized to extract
every penny possible from people. The free
reports that I downloaded helped me to understand
how to overcome their tactics. Considering that
the average American has over $8,000 in credit
card debt, I thought I would share this link with
anyone who might be interested:
