February 12, 2003 -- BEFORE Trimming

From the front view of this hoof, we can see that she is toed-in and is imbalanced, with more hoof horn/wall on the inside of her hoof than on the outside. From the sole and heel views, we can see the contraction in her heels and the flat soles. From the side view, we can see that this foot is also slightly bull-nosed in the toe.

March 12, 2003 -- AFTER Trimming

One month later, her toe wall no longer appears bull-nosed. From the front view of the hoof, she is no longer toed-in and her hoof wall is balanced. Her heel bulbs have relaxed slightly (less pinched), and her heels have decontracted by 3 millimeters. Her soles are still flat, which will improve in the coming months as she builds up toe callous.
