Half-Day Hoof Care Demonstrations

50% of fees are donated to Animal Legal Defense Fund or the non-profit organization of your choice.

Cheryl Sutor is offering half-day (generally 3-4 hours) demonstrations and lectures for groups of horse people to learn more about hoofcare. No experience is needed to attend, these demonstrations are geared toward horse owners. Our half-day demonstrations and lectures are taught to eliminate the mystery that seems to lurk behind hoof care and for horse owners to learn the basics of proper care.

If you would like to host a half-day Demonstration at your farm or horse club, please contact Cheryl from our Contact Us page.

The host of the demonstration may choose a question & answer format, which involves the participants for the entire demonstration; or to have us focus on one of the following topics with a question & answer format near the end:
  • Basic Anatomy & Function
  • Mapping the Hoof for Imbalances
  • Laminitis/Founder
  • Navicular Syndrome
  • Thrush & Hoof Infection
  • Hoof Handling/Training

Please let me know ahead of time if you will need a flyer to advertise the demonstration. As the host of a demonstration, you will need to keep a head-count so that I can bring the proper amount of materials.

All participants should bring a notepad and a pencil or pen. I will also have hand-outs available for the participants regarding the material that I am presenting.

There is no travel fee for locations that are less than 30 miles from either Kirkland, Illinois or Frankfort, Illinois. However, all demonstrations that take place at a greater distance will be subject to a travel fee, which can be split between the participants. At this time, I do not offer short demonstrations or lectures to locations farther than 100 miles... however, I will travel to any continental U.S. state to teach 2-day or 3-day workshops for a deeper immersion into barefoot hoofcare and hoof trimming instruction.

I can also make myself available after the demonstration for detailed Consultations and/or Documentations with individual horses & owners. If this is needed, please give me advance notice for scheduling.
